Happy School Days - My RecordIn the summer of 2005, I received my Grandmother's "Happy School Days - My Record." It is a 189-page book with many photos, sentiments, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia that was put together by Lois Erin Deason circa 1920, the year she graduated from Amarillo High School, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, USA. Among the various things found in this book are the Commencement Programs from both 27 May 1920 and 5 Jun 1919. There are notes written by my Grandmother, her parents, and her father's parents. There are notes and signatures from members of the Classes of 1919, 1920, 1921 and 1922. There are tender sentiments and silly sentiments. There are notes and signatures from school officials and teachers. There is an elegant photograph of and note from Lois Lair. Unfortunately, many of the people in the photos are unidentified. Happily, most of the people who signed the book did so with their full names and nicknames. I had so much fun publishing Myla Baker's 1928 US Passport that I am branching out. If you find that any of this information is interesting to you, let me know - it gives me the incentive to keep making this kind of history a part of the Web. Scanned images of pages will be posted as interest is received. Yours in genealogy, Rajordan
