DUNN, William Augusta
William Augusta DUNN is my husband's Great
Great Grandfather. When I married into my husband's
family, one of the documents I received was a copy of "The
Family Tree of William Augusta DUNN
and Lula BRYANT" dated about 1968. According to this seven page
type-written document, William Augusta DUNN (1829-1908) married
Lula Bryant and had five children:
1. William Franklin DUNN (1850-1933) married Sarah RAINEY
William Franklin DUNN married Rena Ann BRADLEY (1861-1929)
2. Mary Ann DUNN (1858-1931) married E. W. LEE (___-1926)
3. A. Zinn DUNN (1860-1939) married Gertrude GRESHAM
(1868-1946)
A. Miranda Ophelia DUNN (1883-1931) married
Ed RAY
B. Lillie Mae DUNN (1886) married
Thomas Franklin PRESCOTT (1879-1958)
4. Albert DUNN (1863-1888) married Salinda PHILLIPS (1864-1929)
5. Ambrose Wade DUNN (1865-1944) married Nora Ella LUSBY
(1867-1943) (my husband's Great Grandparents)
This was so much more than any documentation I had gotten on my
own side of the family. There were years of birth and death and names of spouses. There were no places and no author of the document.
Never the less, I was so happy to have gotten so much.
I have said for years that if you have one source you
have a fact. If you find two sources, you have a conflict.
Such it is for William Augusta DUNN and William Franklin
DUNN.

Carolina. This makes no sense.
- In 1860. "Frank W. DUN" was born in Alabama.
- In 1870, Franklin
DUNN" was born in Texas.
- In 1880, "W. F. DUNN" was born in Alabama.
