Southern Sun: Palatka?, William H. Royal, 1855.  Swanson apparently had access to the Feb. 3, 1855 issue of this newspaper.  Putnam County government records make reference to it at that time (Michaels). Issues from the Southern Sun owned by William H. Royal in Ocala exist from 1854 (U. F.).  Did the paper and its owner relocate or did Palatka, without a paper of its own, make use of one from Ocala for its official business?  Not to be confused with the newspaper of the same name from 1885.
