[The only other Harrison in Sussex was John Harrison. Gary thinks John is his line. Gary went to a locked metal box and pulled the original document. It certainly was yellow and looked it's age. The list is not alphabetical order and if it happens to be like a census then John only lives two doors away from Joseph.]

the statement is made in the Albemarle register that Christopher Tatum, been near forty year clerk (cleric) of Nottoway Church. He was a vestryman too, in 1739, Were Joseph's children christened in the Nottoway Church? Christopher Tatum married Bridgit Scott. Bridgit's sister, Elizabeth, married Samuel Chappell, father of John Chappell who married Nanny Harrison. The Bethia Tatum who was godparent to William Harrison, son of Joseph, was probably daughter of Christopher and Bridgit Tatum, Bridgit and Elizabeth's mother was Emelia Bethya (spelled many different ways) Boyce who married John Scott.
