York Lackey

KELSO, Tenn. - York Lackey, 78, of Massey Hollow
Road died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was
today at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville
with the Rev. James Campbell officiating.

Burial will be in Kelso Cemetery.

Mr. Lackey was a native of Lincoln County and a
retired press operator for Amana Corp. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Ophelia Jane Simmons
Lackey.

Survivors include two sons, Temple Lackey of Kelso
and Jerry Lackey of Flintville, Tenn.; two daughters,
Gayle Sullenger of Elora, Tenn., and Shirley Mann of
Flintville; one sister, Kate Bradford of Arab; one half
sister, Sue Hunter of Arab; and six grandchildren and
10 great-grandchildren.

York Lackey, 79, died Saturday (Jan. 16, 1999) in Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Lackey was a native of Lincoln County and a retired press operator for the Amana Corp. Survivors include two sons, Temple Lackey of Kelso and Jerry Lackey of Flintville; two daughters, Gayle Sullenger of Elora and Shirley Mann of Flintville; one sister, Kate Bradford of Arab, Ala.; a half-sister, Sue Hunter, also of Arab; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday morning, with Rev. James Campbell officiating. Interment followed in Kelso Cemetery. Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Keith Nelson Sullenger, 33,
of 252 East Prospect Road died Tuesday at a
Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2
p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bass
officiating.

Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.

Mr. Sullenger was a native of Lincoln County, a VAW
employee and a member of Howell Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Jeans Sullenger of
Fayetteville; one daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Sullenger
of Fayetteville; his parents, Gilbert Nelson and Gail
Lackey Sullenger of Elora; one sister, Traci Mann of
Flintville, Tenn.; paternal grandmother, Mattie L.
Sullenger of Fayetteville; and maternal grandfather,
York Lackey of Kelso, Tenn.

Visitation will be Thursday at 5 p.m. at the funeral
home.
