Routt, Hudson (b. ABT 1836)

Title: Co. B, 44th Infantry service records show that Hudson Routt
enlisted with hisbrother James 7 December, 1862 at Camp
Trousdale. Hudson was wounded atMurfreesboro and sent to
hospital 26 March, 1862 by a Dr. Johnson. A casualtylist dated
30 April, 1863 describes him as "slightly wounded in the
arm."He returned to duty from the hospital at Chattanooga 26
March, 1863 but waslisted as deserting 1 July, 1863 and dropped
from the rolls 28 July, 1863. Hewas last paid 30 April 1863.
Since there is no further record of Hudson in hishome county of
Lincoln, it is probable that he did not survive the war.
