Kelso, Henry (b. 25 SEP 1818, d. 10 SEP 1866)
Note: Henry was County Court Clerk for a number of years. He owned a
2,000 acre
plantation located on both sides of Elk River near Kelso. The
new train station
there was named after him. Henry was also a partner in the
Kelso and McDonald
brokerage that traded in commodities. But, the Civil War
destroyed the Kelso fortune.
A few months after the war ended, hounded by creditors, Henry
died.
