Leakesville Missionary Baptist Church
The Leakesville Missionary Baptist Church was organized September 30, 1983, and their building was dedicated June 23, 1984. The church is located at 1701 Lackey Street in Leakesville. The present pastor is Rev. Eric James., who lives in Deer Park, AL. His father, also, has served this church as pastor.
One of the founding families was Ford Hodges and his family, who are still active in the church and its work. The Missionary who was instrumental in establishing the church was James E. "Bud" Hicks. The church is a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Association.
The services of the church are: Sunday School 10:00 am and Morning Worship at 11am. Evening Services are at 6 pm and Wednesday Services at 7 pm.
The services of the church are always open to having visitors and newcomers to worship in this congregation.
