Leakesville First Assembly of God Church

The Leakesville First Assembly of God Church is located on Highway 57 West, on the edge of town. Rev. Mickey Middleton is the pastor. Rev Middleton, who lives in Benndale, is a bivocational Minister. He is a self-employed appliance repairman, as well as pastor of the church. He has been pastor since January of this year.

The church had its beginnings with a family who came here from Indiana in the late 1970’s. The present building was built in 1980, in several phases. According to Sandy James, the Lord has blessed, and many folks in the area have contributed to the construction of the building.

Sunday School meets each Sunday at 10 a.m. Morning worship is at 11 a.m., with the evening service at 6 p.m. The pastor has just completed a study of Revelation in the Wednesday services, which meet at 7 p.m. Attendance at the church is about 30.

The church has a Master’s Council composed of Willis Bradley, Mark Gilley, Allen Burch, Marvin Pierce, and Ryan Dobbins. They help in leading and ministering in the Church.

First Assembly is a friendly Church where visitors are always welcome.
