The Hilltop Assembly of God Church was organized in July of 1997. Pastor Shirley Pierce and her husband, Ben Pierce, helped to get the Church started. Other founding members were: Marvin Stanley Pierce, Jr., Marie Welford, Houston Eden, Dock and Della Pierce, George and Joanna Richardson, Tom Pierce, and Gloria Dieutt.

    In 1999 a school was begun, known as Hilltop Academy, which includes Kindergarten through 12th grade. They have 22 enrolled and are growing. The school uses the ACE Program, which is a Bible based teaching program. The Principal of the Academy is Carol Dye. Teachers are Miranda Cowart, Tabby Howell and Keish Davis. The school meets four days each week, Monday through Thursday, from 8 am to 2 pm. The church is developing plans to provide other facilities to serve both the school and the church.

    The morning Worship Service averages about 12, beginning at 10:30 with Bible Study. This moves into a Worship and Praise time, which concludes about 12 noon. Evening services on Sunday are at 6 pm, ant Prayer Meeting is on Thursday at 7 pm.

    The church is located several miles South of Leakesville on Highway 63. Visitors are always welcome.
