The 2003 Battle of Newton turned out to be a very good re-enactment. In spite of the rain we had real good crowds. The only thing that got rained out was the ladies tea. There was plenty of excitement and things to do. The encampments were buzzing with soldiers and families. The artillery guys showed up with their two cannons ready for battle. The Molly Pitcher gang put on a magnificent program. On Sunday the cavalry came in to bolster the units. Young and old, we all had a good time.
