This years student turn-out was smaller than in 2001, however, the thrill and enthusiasm was still there. I did not get a head count but according to all the pictures that I took there were plenty in attendance. The students were treated to all sorts of demonstrations. There were new and different vendors this year. They added a variety of shopping to the occasion.
The layout for Re-enactment 2002 will be a little different from last year. This is in part mostly to the fact that I have more pictures to choose from. There are 6 different sets of pictures to deal with beginning on Friday (School Day) and ending on Sunday with the last battle. For the most part I will not have any written words to accompany the slides as I did last year. It will be just pictures. They should be self-explanatory.
As you progress through the slides you will again be given the options to continue, jump ahead or conclude the slide show; along with the other normal options. It would be most helpful if you would sign the guestbook before you begin so you will not forget it. This gives me an idea of the interest of the viewer. Your input on how to improve this site is also appreciated.
Our tour begins on Friday. In these photos you will see the students on the grounds along with some of the displays. This series of photos will concentrate on Fridays activities. There were vendors and re-enactors arriving all during the day setting up their tents, displays, wares, and cannons. If you notice a lot of pictures with a cannon in it then you might pick up on the fact that I am kinda partial to them. The racket they make is just awesome.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A SLOW PROCESSOR THEN THE FIRST TIME YOU DOWNLOAD THESE PICTURES IT WILL TAKE A WHILE TO DO SO. AFTER THAT THEN THEY WILL DOWLOAD RATHER QUICKLY. THIS IS DUE TO THE SIZE AND QUALITY OF THE PICTURES. I WILL GIVE YOU A LITTLE WHILE TO COPY THE ONES YOU WISH, AFTER THAT I WILL DOWNSIZE THESE PICTURES TO MAKE THEM MORE WEB FRIENDLY.
