The Union Baptist Church is located on Alabama 123 south of Newton headed towards Wicksburg. The cemetery is located on Dale County 43 about 3/4 mile from the church. It is a well kept cemetery but contains a lot of unnamed graves. In the rear of the cemetery there is an area that has recently been cleared. On further to the back, in the woods, are sunken areas which indicate possible graves. I did find two wooden markers but they do not contain any information on them. I do not know if there is an effort to continue this cleaning but if they do I will try to stay up on it. The inventory for this cemetery is complete. Contact me for any lookups.
