Radio Scripts by Gary Herrity 1996

42Gary45a.jpg (19176 bytes)At the library I found this wonderful book full of short stories about the history of Clinton.  They were written in 1996 and told on the radio at KROS by Gary Herrity.  He has graciously given us permission to reprint those scripts at this website.  He also has many photos of Clinton, many of which he has shared with us.  I have tried to pair them up with the stories they might relate to.  You can click on the little thumbnails to see the larger picture.

Many of the pictures come from a slide show regarding Clinton's history.  I had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Herrity giving the presentation at the Historical Societies Living History Day.  I could only stay a short time as I roped my daughter into going with me and she didn't want to stay long.  What I did hear was very interesting.  People were asking questions and Mr. Herrity seemed to be very knowledgable when answering.  I hope I (and you) have a chance to see the full show sometime soon.

While books could be and have been written on some of these subjects, each of these stories is a page long.
