Records compiled in these pages have been transcribed from a variety of sources. The numerous genealogical databases found on the Internet have been avoided. In researching personal family history you will often find your own parents' names misspelled, their progenitors completely wrong and etc. Therefore, no stock is put in undocumented family trees. (In our records here, notice the four various spellings of "Brumett", all leaves on the same tree.)
The basic information on older individuals, such as names and dates, were initially taken directly from tombstones and then further verified through death records, funeral home records and older cemetery records. Unfortunately many of the records themselves were in error and have been copied here; and too, we were unable to verify some of the oldest records. Therefore, if you find an inaccuracy in the information listed, please feel free to pass it along and we will correct it ASAP.
Many of the family members listed were taken from oral accounts of living relatives and dozens and dozens of inquiries over the past eight years into the memory and records of Mrs. Doxie Lorene (Brock) Blanton. To her legacy of unconditional love for ALL her neighbors across the world, these pages are dedicated and given freely to the public domain, just as she would have done.
