SEPTEMBER 11, 2002: A COUNTY REMEMBERS
One year ago, September 11, we were struck with a tragedy in our country, New York City. Because of this, it has changed many Americans lives forever. Many have lost friends, family, and other loved ones. This devastating loss of life affected almost everyone.
For remembrance of those whose lives are gone (but not forgotten), and to their family and friends, personally, I would like to dedicate to all, my a poem I call, Your Remembrance;
Your Remembrance
I remember, one year ago,
Our country was horribly and unexpectedly
Struck by the acts of Terrorists.
Many lost their lives,
Many injured,
Many broke out in tears,
Whereas, all, have not forgotten.
To this day, the feelings
We all shared then,
We still share today.
So, on this day,
I would like to say,
My remembrance unto all,
I will light my candle
And hang my flag tall,
With me standing next to,
"Old Glory," with all.
With those men and women,
Whom are across sea,
As well as, fellow Americans,
In remembering those who had to fall.
I’m not ashamed to admit,
I am an American with pride!
And your remembrance,
Will always be carried on.
