ARE OUR RIGHTS BEING VIOLATED?
The Constitution of America states rights that we, as Americans, are suppose to have.
Now, don’t get me wrong. We do have a lot of rights that most countries don’t have.
But yet, I feel that there is one that has been violated.
THE SEAT BELT LAWS.
In our society today, it has been made, (or will be made in some states), a law that we, (the residents of the United States) have to wear our seat belts or pay a fine.
Personally, I feel that it should be our right to chose if we want to wear a seat belt or not.
In my own opinion, I have listed what I feel the PRO’S and CON’S are to wearing a seat belt and NOT wearing a seat belt.
These are just a few I have listed, which, I am sure more can be added to this list.
PRO’S: Wearing seat belt’s
1: Keeps you from getting a fine.
2: Keeps you from being thrown from the vehicle.
3: Keeps you from hitting the steering wheel.
CON’S: Wearing seat belt’s
1: Your seat belt could possibly cut into you.
2: Your seat belt could possibly get jammed and trap you in a burning vehicle.
PRO’S: NOT Wearing seat belt’s
1: Your seat belt wont cut into you.
2: You can escape faster from a burning vehicle.
CON’S: NOT Wearing seat belt’s
1: You receive a fine.
2: You get thrown from the vehicle.
So, again, I feel that the seat belt law should NOT be a law, but rather, it should be each individuals choice to wear a seatbelt or not, being over the age of 18.
