no certain entry for Richard Reynolds exists before he appears on the 1816 tax list of Shelby Co. KY with son-in-law Levi Harrold.  Since his many children insist they were all born in NC he surely could not have missed being counted for 1790-1800-1810?  The most likely candidate in 1790 seems to be in Rowan Co.  Below are the neighbors in their original order on the census with notes of what is know or surmised.

• PATRICK, William - wife Elizabeth Ann Stephens s/o Robert Patrick of Frederick Co. MD and PA [I think I have this roll of estate records - need to look for this entry in 1758].  His brother James was reportedly born in Loudoun Co. VA and at Harrodsburg KY by 1780.  Oldest son Robert b. 175 is in Shelby Co. KY for the 1820 & 1830 census.  He had first gone to Jessamine Co. KY.  William's dau. Presha marries John Holmes Jr.  Son Hezekiah marries a Mary Herald.   William Patrick died  1818 Rowan Co. NC.

• BEAL, Joseph - he is probably important but I don't know who he is.  The Quaker Beals in the area show no Joseph.  Since most of these people around him are Marylanders it seems possible he snuck in from one of the Maryland Beals families?  A Joseph Beals marries Elizabeth Speaks 31 Mar 1818 in Rowan Co. NC.  Thomas Holmes is bondsman.  Could he be a son or is it a late life marriage for the same man?
