MD to Robert Patton, yeoman of same for 65 pounds - a parcel of land scituate in the county being a part of Five tracts of land the one called Hispaniola and the other Bulin's Range which said tract is part of 300 acres which I the said Thos. Stratton purchased of Samuel Alexander late of the said county 20 Mar 1729  beginning at a certain Hickory being the south west bounder of the Division line between me the said Thomas Stratton and the heir of John Macknit, late of the above said county, the said Hickory being marked with 12 notches, thence runing north 9 Degrees Westerly 75 perches thence north west and by north 105 perches thence north east and by east 96 perches thence south west and by west 80 perches tehnce north 82 degrees westerly 50 perches thence with a straight line to the first containing 150 acres more or less.  Signed Thomas (his mark) Stratton and Hannah (her mark) Stratton Wits: R.   • 12 Dec 1740 Joseph Alexander of Cecil County, Province of Maryland, carpenter, and Margaret his wife sell to Adam Wilson of New Castle Co. DE a certain parcel of land being part of a tract called New munster lying on the East side of the main branch of Elk river in Cecil county the same that the said Joseph Alexander purchased of Thomas Stevenson, Gentl.  15 August 1718 which said tract the said Stevenson purchased of Robert Roberts 1 Apr 1714  and therefore for many good causes and for the consideration of the sum of 60 pounds the said tract is granted, bargained and sold and bounded as followeth:  Beginning at a black oak standing about four perches to the East of the Great road from Emmitts Mill and in the West side of the Tract a... containing by estimation 105 acres.  (signed) Joseph Alexander and Margaret Alexander.  Wits: Geo.       deceased of the one part to William Gillespie of Cecil County, Cooper of the 
      other part. Witnesseth that Thomas Weir by his indenture bearing date 1
      December 1752 did sell and convey unto the afs’d William Ferguson one part 
      of a Tract of Land lying and being in Cecil County and a part of a Tract of Land
      called New Munster being part of nine hundred and three Acres formerly
      purchased of Arthur Alexander from Thomas Stevenson as may appear by 
      Deed bearing date 15 Aug 1718 and whereas the said William Ferguson did 
      by his last will and Testament bearing date 19 Oct 1750 authorize and 
      impower the said Theophlius Alexander and Moses Scott to convey his Lands 
      and Tenements… therefore they do grant bargain and sell for the sum of Sixty
      four Pounds fifteen shillings and six Pence Current Money of Pennsylvania in 
      hand paid by William Gillespie the above mentioned tract bounded as follows:
      Beginning at a Corner marked Pisimin Tree and is a Corner of Robert Curry’s
      Land ... to a Stake near John Alexander’s Barn thence West sixty eight 
      Perches to a Stake thence by a  Streight Line to the aforesaid Beginning 
      containing by estimation fifty acres  and one half be the same more or

  • 9 Dec 1766 Mary Augustine Lawson of Cecil County, MD, widow, to Peter Lawson of same, Gent.  whereas the saidy Mary Augustine now stands seized in fee simple of and in one undivided moiety or hlaf part of a ract of land called Bohemia Mannor lying in Cecil County beginning on the S. point of Bohemia and the River dividing and from thence E. up a long the said Bohemia River near the head thereof to Hermans Branch of Appequinim Landing Point and thence up the said Eastermost Run to the high way Road and further a long the said Road N. to Bohemia back Creek Run from thence Westerly down unto Elk River and S. down the said Elk River to the Point on Elk and Bohemia River dividing other wise called Town Point or Caciltton (?) ... the same contain what number or Quantity of Acres Lower as by the Patent thereof Remaining of Record may appear... now for the sum of five shillings sterling money she does grant bargain etc. and also for  the annuity of one hundred pounds current money of Maryland to be part of the said Mary's yearly during her natural life by the said Peter Lawson by his Bond with condition for the payment of the said annuity bearing date with these presents... he receives the undivided moiety for one full half part of the tract called Bohemia Mannor as before expressed except the quantity of Two Thousand Acres of the said Mannor granted by the said Mary to Michael Basset and Richard Basset of Cecil County.  Signed Mary Augustine (X) Lawson.  Wit: Geo.   • 29 Mar 1773 Received of Messr’s Nathan Baker, Jeremiah Baker and Jethro Baker the sum of Eighty one pounds fourteen shillings and three pence PA Currency it being the full sum due me on a bond due from Rosanna Alexander   which a certain Nathan Baker and James Breading were securities for  a Guardians Bond given me from the said Rosanna Dated 28 July 1757 and on which an action was  brought against the said securities by me for the above sum being paid.
