CALEB WILLIAMS

      TOC

If headstones can be trusted MALINDA DAVIS was b. 12 September
1807 d. 14 July 1887 (Old Caney Cemetery Morgan County KY). CALEB
WILLIAMS was b. 12 SEPTEMBER 1809 d. 07 October 1865 (she was older
than he). They were married 28 August 1826 in Morgan County
KY...since they married in the month of AUGUST Caleb would have
been, according to the dates on the headstones, 17 in SEPTEMBER and
Malinda would have been 19 in SEPTEMBER.

CALEB & MALINDA'S children?

1.ELIZABETH b. 12 September 1827 Morgan.
2.SARAH b. 01 November 1829 Morgan.
3.CLARISSA b. 17 October 1832 Morgan.
4.DAVID L. b. 19 September 1837 Morgan.
5.ISAAC D. b. c1840 (no complete date for Isaac...no headstone?)
Morgan.

Would these be the three girls & two boys on the 1840 census?

Then:
6.PERLINA b. __ May 1842 Morgan.
7.DANIEL A. b. __September 1844 Morgan.
8.JAMES HARVEY b. 15 October 1847 Morgan.

Would these be the additional children on the 1850 census?

Then:
9.WILLIAM b. 24 September 1850 Morgan.

It is written that CALEB & MALINDA DAVIS WILLIAMS had nine children.

I also found the Descendants of MATTHIAS DAVIS & SARAH RULON from
2005. JOSEPH & MARY EMILY "Polly" WILLIAMS DAVIS, CALEB & MELINDA
DAVIS WILLIAMS and JEREMIAH VARDEMAN & JANE DAVIS WILLIAMS are
included in this research as descendants of MATTHIAS & SARAH but the
researcher is very careful NOT to state the implied connection as a
PROVEN connection...in other words, there's a supposition that these
three DAVIS children who married WILLIAMS children were the three
who didn't go to Indiana but there is NO proof other than common
sense. NOW, if this supposition can be proven then I will have found
another generation for MY tree...how about yours, MARK? STRONG
SUPPOSITION? Any proof?

Oh, according to RULON history, SARAH RULON'S mother was DORCAS
WILLIAMS b. 14 May 1744 d. 13 June 1828... she was married c1763
to DAVID RULON in New Jersey. Remember that SARAH RULON b. 03
April 1780 was in Clark County when she married MATTHIAS DAVIS 05
March 1796 and her guardian was JOHN WILLIAMS who gave permission for
the marriage. LSH
