Maggie Olson
Biography
Maggie Olsdotter Olson was born in Sweden on October 25, 1824. She
married Oliver Olson at Mora, Dalarna, Sweden on June 24, 1845. The
following children were born to them:

Anna Olson October 31, 1849 Wattnäs, Mora
Margaret Olson July 26, 1853 Bergkarläs, Mora
Carrie Olson February 2, 1857 Mora, Dalarna
Christina Olson February 8, 1860 Marby, Jämtland
Andrew Olson February 19, 1863 Marby, Jämtland
Henry Andrew November 16, 1867 Swaburg, Nebraska,
On July 8, 1865 the family emigrated to Chicago, IL. There are no
further records for their son, Andrew, and he may have died prior to
1870. The date and place are not known. The family moved to Dodge
county, Nebraska prior to 1867. All of the family members, except
Olaf, are shown in the 1870 US Census for Logan Precinct, Dodge
county, Nebraska. Since Olaf would have been 24 years of age in
1870, he could be on his own or he could be dead. Daughter, Anna,
was married to Oliver Larson on July 5, 1866 in Nebraska. None of
the other children were married by 1870. The last census record
found for Maggie's husband, Oliver Olson, is 1885. He died on Sept.
4, 1896, place unknown.
In the 1900 US Census Maggie is listed as living with her daughter,
Christina, and her husband, Peter Peterson. This census also shows
that Maggie had seven children and that 5 are still alive. Maggie
and the Petersons moved from Nebraska to Idaho about 1893. In 1903
Maggie and the Peterson family moved to Wetaskiwin, Alberta,
Canada. Maggie died in 1908 is buried in the New Sweden Scand.

Died-On Friday, September 4, 1896, at the ranch of T. E. Peterson,
about 7 miles north of Idaho Falls, Mr. Oliver Olson, aged 70 years.
Mr. Olson was the father of Mrs. Peterson and came here from
Nebraska about two years ago.

Biography
Oliver Olson was born on November 19, 1818 at Wattnäs, Mora,
Dalarna, Sweden. His ancestors had come to Sweden from Finland. He
married Maggie Oldsdotter on June 24, 1845 at Mora, Dalarna,
Sweden. The following children were born to them:

Oliver and Maggie (Olsdotter) Olson
Oliver Olson was born on November 19, 1818 at Wattnäs, Mora,
Sweden. Oliver's ancestors emigrated from Finland to Sweden. Maggie
Olsdotter was born on October 25, 1824 in Sweden. Oliver and Maggie
were married on June 24, 1845 at Mora, Dalarna, Sweden. The
following children were born to them in Sweden:
(1) Olaf on Aug. 28, 1845 at Wattnäs,
(2) Anna on Oct. 31, 1849 at Wattnäs,
(3) Margaret on July 26, 1853 at Bergkarlås, Mora,
(4) Carrie on Feb. 2, 1857 at Mora, Dalarna,
(5) Christina on Feb. 8, 1860 at Marby, Jämtland, Sweden, and
(6) Andreas on Feb. 19, 1863 at Marby, Jämtland, Sweden.
and
(7) Henry Andrew on November 16, 1867 at Swaburg, Dodge Co., NE.
The Oliver Olson family emigrated to the Chicago, IL, USA on July 8,
1865. Andreas probably died before 1870, and Olaf probably died
before 1900. In about 1866 the family came to the Swaburg
neighborhood of Dodge county, Nebraska. Their 7th child, Henry
Andrew (he used the name Andrew), was born at Swaburg on November 16,
1867. Oliver Olson died on Sept. 4, 1896, but the place is not
known. After her husband's death Maggie lived with her daughter,
Christina, and her husband, Peter Peterson. The Peterson's moved to Idaho
Falls, Idaho about 1893 and later to Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada in 1903.
She died in 1908 at Wetaskiwin and is buried there in the New Sweden
Scandinavian Mission Cemetery.
Anna Olson married Oliver Larson on July 5, 1866 at Omaha,
Nebraska. They lived south of the present town of Uehling, Nebraska
until their death. They had 14 children. Anna died on Nov. 15,
1922 and Oliver died on Feb. 16, 1912. Both are buried at the
Baptist Cemetery, south of Uehling, NE.
Margaret Olson married Charles A. Johnson in 1874, and they lived
in Burt county near the present town of Uehling, NE. In 1887 they
moved to Wahoo in Saunders County, NE and in 1894 they moved to Idaho
Falls, Idaho. They had 4 children. Margaret died on June 29, 1919
and Charles died on Feb. 6, 1927. Both are buried at the Rose Hill
Cemetery, Idaho Falls, ID.
Carrie Larson married G. Lars Larson on Dec. 3, 1873 at Fremont,
Nebraska. They lived in Logan Township, near the present site of
Uehling until 1881 when they moved to Wayne County. In 1896 they
moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. They had 8 children. Carrie died on
Jan. 22, 1935, and Lars died Oct. 11, 1903. Both are buried at the
Rose Hill Cemetery, Idaho Falls, ID.
Christina Olson married Peter E. Peterson in 1890, and they lived
in Logan Township near the present town of Uehling, NE. They moved to
Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1893 and to Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada in
1903. They had 4 children. Christina died on May 5, 1945 and Peter
died Dec. 19, 1918. Both are buried at Wetaskiwin.
Andrew did not marry and he lived in Hooper, NE. He moved to Idaho
Falls, ID in 1906 and to Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada after 1910. He
worked in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for many years, but returned to
Wetaskiwin shortly before his death on June 27, 1952. He is buried
at Wetaskiwin.
