He married OMA M BRANSON, daughter of WILLIAM RILEY BRANSON (1877-1950) and LOUISA HAMPTON (1878-1947). She was born 11 November 1910 in Virginia, and died 10 March 1989 in Letcher County, Kentucky. They are buried in Collier Cemetery,
Pine Mountain, Eolia, Letcher County, Kentucky.
