Tamla "Tammy" Wright Harless, 40, of Bristol Virginia, died Saturday, May6, 2000, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. She was a daughter of Joe Dean Wright of Millsap, Texas, and Anne Mader Wright of Ford Worth, Texas, and a member of Central Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the choir, a Sunday School teacher, a member ofthe Ladies Fellowship and a church bus driver. She attended North Richland Hills High School and graduated from LakeWorth High School in 1979. She was also a graduate of the dental assistantprogram at Highlands Community College. Surviving, besides her parents, are her husband, Ricky Alan Harless; a son, Ricky Joealan Harless; a daughter, Jessica Leann Harless; two brothers, Stanley Wright and Bruce Wright, both of Millsap; and two foster children, John Charles Almany and Gary Ricky Almany, both of Bristol Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Central Baptist Church, 608 Mary St., Bristol, Va. by Farris Funeral Service of Abingdon. Pastors Tom Hicks and Charles Baker will officiate. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Hearl Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for committal services. Pallbearers will be her brothers, friends and men of the church. Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers-in-law. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday in the church, and the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until time for the service Tuesday in the church. The family suggests others follow the example of Tammy and become organ donors so others may live. Farris Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
