Steve Harless
Steve Harless, 40, of 22540 Mary's Chapel Road, Bristol, Va., died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at his home. Mr. Harless was a native and lifelong resident of Bristol. He was an employee of Dana Corporation and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Myra Shaffer Harless and a stepdaughter, Kelly Dutton, both of Bristol, Va.; his father and mother, Mack and Jean O'Dell Harless of Bristol, Va.; two sisters, Sandra Christian of Bristol, Va., and Sheila Ball of Kingsport, Tenn.; and one brother, Barry Harless of Bristol, Va. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Zimmerman, Rev. Larry Lilly and Rev. Charles Sherfey officiating. Burial will follow in Barkers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Runyon, Larry Cunningham, Greg Stacy, Bengie Shaffer, Rick Christian and Richie Ball. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2000.
