Know Ye, That John I Dennison, Private of Captain_______ Company 58th Regiment of Ill Infantry VOLUNTEERS who was enrolled on the 10th day of March one thousand eight hundred and 65 to serve one years or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States this 29th day of May 1865 at Springfield, Illinois by reason of Telegram from Non Dept Apr-29-65
(No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.)
Said, John I Dennison was born in the State of Kentucky, is 22 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, fair complexion, black eyes, sandy hair, and by occupation when enrolled, a farmer.
Given at Springfield Ill this 29th day of May 1865.
