WHITLEY RICE was born 12 March 1916 in Sims Fork, Bell County, Kentucky, and died 13 August 1940 in Little Creek Mines, Bell County, Kentucky. He was a dynamite man and killed in an explosion. He was buried in Slusher-Napier Cemetery, Little Creek, Bell County, Kentucky. He was the son of JAMES GARFIELD RICE (1888-1978) and MARGARET COX (1891-1975). He married MARY WAGNER 1937 in Bell County, Kentucky, daughter of John WAGNER and PEGGY WAGNER. She was born 1916 in Bell County, Kentucky. He was my Uncle.
