Catherine Ann White Garrett

Courier Journal Louisville Thursday Morning November 5 1931

Mrs. Catherine Garrett, 68 years old, fell dead in church at 8 o'clock Wednesday night, a few seconds after she had asked her congregation to pray for her.
Mrs. Garrett, the widowed mother of nine children, was attending the Holiness Church of God near her home on Mitchell Hill, near the Bullitt County line. She complained to a worshiper sitting near her of feeling ill.
When the congregation complied with her request to pray, Mrs. Garrett started toward the mourners bench. Just as she reached it, she fell dead.
Deputy Coroner Joseph Beck said death was due to a heart attack.
