Inscription:
"Died 1929" VIOLA NADINE (SHARPE) DOSSEY was b. ca. 1895 in TX and was orphaned at an early age. She was brought up in the foster home of the Day family of Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX until the age of 9 when she went to live in the Galveston Children's Home. VIOLA married first Zekiel "Zeke" Moody on August 24, 1908 in Mexia or Groesbeck, Limestone Co., TX and had at least two children by him; Lucille Leota Moody and Beatrice Moody. Lucille m. Brones Hyman. Beatrice married 1) Fred Dossey and 2) Lawrence Adamick. These women raised their families in the Willis area. VIOLA married second ca. 1918 to Robert Wesley Dossey, b. 1878 in Groesbeck, Limestone Co., TX. ROBERT was the son of Joseph Morgan Dossey and Jane Hall of Limestone Co., TX. VIOLA AND ROBERT are enumerated on the 1920 New Waverly, Walker Co., TX census, pg. 3B. They both died of complications of influenza during an epidemic in the area in 1929 and are buried side by side. Viola had four more children with Robert W. Dossey, as follows: Ruther Mae, Mary, Roland Lee and Hazel Loraine, b. Nov. 18, 1923.
