Know all men by these Present that she, Jane Hardy of the Parish of Shirland in the County of Derby Widow,
John Milward of the same Parish Husbandman and John Doe Gent:are held and firmly bound unto Richard Smallbroke, Doctor of Laws, Vicar General of the Diocese of Lichfield and Coventry
In the sum of forty pounds of good and lawfull money of Great Britain, to be paid unto the said Doctor Richard Smallbroke or to his retain Attorney his Executors , Administrators or assignes
To which payment well and truly to be made she oblige ourselves and every one of us by herself and themselves -
for the whole our and every one of our Executors and Administrators firmly by these Present sealed with our seals dated the fourteenth day of October
In the first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty One.(1761)
The Condition of this obligation is such, That if the above bound Jane Hardy, widow and Adminstrator of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of Hugh Hardy late of the Parish of Shirland, deceased
Do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased
which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of her the said Jane Hardy or in to the hands and possession of any Person or Persons for her and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Bishop's Consistory at Lichfield at or before the last day of November next
ensuing and the same Goods, Chattels and Credits and all the other Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased at the time of his death which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said Jane Hardy or into the hands and possession of any other Person or Persons
for her do well and truly adminster according to law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just account of her said Administration at or before the last day of October and all the rest and Residue of the said Goods, Chattels and Credits
which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrators account the same being first examined and allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time being of the said Court shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively as the said Judge or Judges by his or their Decree or Sentence persuant to the true intent and meaning of a late Act of Parliament made in the two and twentieth and three and twentieth years of the reign of our late sovereign Lord King Charles
The Second institutes an Act for the later settling of Intestators Estates shall limit and appoint And if it shall hereafter approve that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named do exhibit the same into the said Court making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said Jane Hardy Widow above bounden being thereunto required do and deliver the said letters of administration /approbation of such testament being first had and made in the said Court, then this obligation to be void or that to remain in full force and virtue

Deceased died upwards of Days ago intestate and that is the Widow and of the said deceased and the Person to whom letters of Adminstration do right belong wherefore shallletters of Admin of all and singular the Goods of the said deceased to be granted to her which and giving security and taking the usual oath committed to her accordingly being sworn failthfully to Administratory also that the deceased personal Estate does not amount to the sum of £20 before me.J Fletcher Tho White

Jane was born 25 October 1721 at Alderwaslee, Wirksworth, Derbyshire. She died on the17 February 1793 Higham, Derbyshire.
