Mrs. Naomi Williamson, the widow of Charles H. Williamson died Saturday June 27th 1956 at Wilmington, Calif., where she had been spending the winter. She was born Dec. 7, 1879, in Tecumseh, the daughter of Dr. Lucian and Ida Stevens North. She was married March 10, 1904 to Charles H. Williamson of Tecumseh who preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1938. She had lived her entire life in Tecumseh with the exception of a year in New York City. Since the death of her husband she had spent her winters in California. Mrs. Williamson was a life-long member of the Baptist church of Tecumseh and a trustee for many years. She also was the church organist for many years. She was active in many civic and social groups and was a past president of the Tecumseh Monday Club. She also was a past regent of the Abi Evans Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Williamson was a graduate of Tecumseh high school and also a graduate of Kalamazoo College. The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Edmund R. (Marian) Childs of Monroe and Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Lepon of Wilmington, Calif; two sons, Charles Lucian Williamson of Monroe and Dr. Edwin Williamson of Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Judge Bernard Williamson of Morenci, who died Aug. 11, 1952 and a brother Cuyler Stevens North, who died in 1903. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home. The family asks that contributions be made to the Tecumseh Baptist church. The Rev. Alvin C. Brazee officiated and bearers were William Childs, Bernard Williamson, Jr., David Williamson, John VanValkenburg, Arnold Reister and Robert D. Moore. The burial was in Brookside cemetery.
