Norman SPELLER

Norman Speller, 91 years old, was taken by death Monday Morning.

     Funeral services for Norman Speller, 91 years old, who died early Monday morning in the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wellnitz, in Palmyra township, were held this afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Wellnitz home. The Rev. E. S. Hawkins officiated and burial was made in Pleasant View cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Blissfield I. O. O. F. lodge, of which he was a member.

     Mr. Speller was born near Rochester, N. Y., and had been a resident of this vicinity about 80 years. His wife died in 1931 and two sons also preceded him in death. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Wellnitz and Mrs. August Buehrer, both of Palmyra township, and Mrs. Florence Beckey of Salina, Kansas; two sons, Merton Speller of Blissfield and Danford of Midland; three sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Blommer of Ithaca, Mrs. Mary Belcher of Briar, Mo., and Mrs. Laura Samuelson of Salina, Kansas; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
