Robert O. Mitchell, 94 of Mitchell Rd. in Raisin Twp. died Saturday, Feb. 9, 1991 , at Bixby Medical Center. He was born on Aug. 11, 1896 in Raisin Twp., to William and Clara Opal (Osburn) Mitchell. On June 12, 1918, he married Margaret Meyers. She survives. Mr. Mitchell farmed in Raisin Twp. all his life. He was a member of the Raisin Presbyterian Church, the National Thrashers Association, and a charter member of the Raisin Twp. Fire Department. He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one son, Dale Mitchell of Holloway; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Lucille) Williams of Hudson, Mrs. Harold (Harriet) Johnston of Raisin Center, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Osterhout of Britton, and Mrs. Lois Ventz, who lives at home; one brother, Hugh Mitchell of Adrian; one sister, Mrs. Anna Eccles of Raisin Twp., 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert, who died in infancy, and Charles in 1988; and three brothers, John, Edward and James. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Tagsold Funeral Home in Blissfield, with Rev. Max Bailey officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Raisin Presbyterian Cemetery.
