Mrs. Harriet Rachel (Riddle) Meyers, a former Adrian resident died at 4:10 this morning in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitchell of Holloway. She was 99 years old Thursday. Born, Jan. 17, 1864, in Toledo, she was the daughter of James and Margaret Penman Riddle. On April 14, 1887, she married Frederick Meyers and they spent the greater part of their married life in Lenawee county. He died Sept. 16, 1945. She also was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and James Riddle and one sister Janet Riddle. Surviving are four sons Edward M., Alfred G., J. H., and Fred W. Meyers, all of Adrian; two daughters, Mrs. Portia Kimball of Adrian and Mrs. Margaret Mitchell of Holloway; 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren. Mrs. Meyers was a member of the Clinton Methodist church and the M.S.C.S. of that church. She also was a member of the Raisin Valley Sunshine Society. The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Braun Funeral Home. The Rev. Lowell Shreve will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. FUNERAL The funeral services for Mrs. Harriet Meyers, formerly of Adrian, whose death occurred Saturday morning in the home of her daughter Mrs. Robert Mitchell of Holloway, were Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Braun Funeral Home. The Rev. Lowell Shreve officiated and burial was in Oakwood cemetery. The bearers were Donald, Keith, Stanley and Duwayne Meyers, Jack Kimball and Dale Mitchell.
