Earle W. King, 88 of Palmyra, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999 at Provincial House of Adrian following a short illness. He was born on Jan. 12, 1911 in Lenawee county . On June 19, 1937 he married Lillian M. Meyers. She died July 13, 1993, after 56 years of marriage. Earle was a farmer in Lenawee County all his life, and was a retiree of Blissfield Manufacturing. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing near his winter home in Bradenton, Fla. Earle is survived by one son, Larry D. King of Adrian; two daughters, Mrs. (Robert C.) Lauralie K. Hultz of Toledo and Mrs. (William G.) Jolinda Caulkins of Tavares, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael, Pam, Deborah, David, Gary, Kevin, Kayleen, Ken, Renee, Lisa and Natalie; great grandchildren, Alexandrea, Caitlin, Rebecca, Andrea, Elizabeth, Jenny, Garrett, Kierstyn, Kalynah, Mariah, Joshua, Courtney, Kelsey and Sara; and one sister, Mrs. (James) Arlene Cavers of Winter Haven, Fla. Besides his wife Lillian, Earle was preceded in death by his parents, Clair Merton King and Elva H. Wotring King; and two sisters, Marie and Lois. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Tagsold Funeral Home in Blissfield. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Palmyra Cemetery following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
