Elen Kear
, daughter of William Reed
Kear and Mary O. Johnson, was born 14 September 1848 in Van Wert, Van
Wert Co., Ohio and died 1 Apr 1900, Weeping Water, Cass Co., Nebraska.
She married Francis Marian
BAILEY on 22 February 1864 in Van Wert, Van Wert Co., Ohio.
Francis
was born in Georgia on 14 August 1835 and died on 11 April 1899 in
Weeping Water, Nebraska. Elizabeth is buried
in Oakwood Cemetery, Weeping Water, Nebraska.
Elizabeth joined the
Methodist Episcopal church
when she was a young girl. Her funeral, however, was
conducted from
the Mennonite church in Weeping Water,
Nebraska.
After
the death of her husband, she lived in
Hiawatha, Brown County, Kansas, with her son, Ralph. About two weeks
before her death,
Elizabeth
visited her son, Henry, in
Weeping Water, where she died in his home. She contracted
pneumonia
and died in a few days [note 1].

1. William Ralph BAILEY was born 8 September 1866 and died 30 July 1882.
2. Lucy May BAILEY was born 16 July 1871 in Savannah, Nebraska and died on 20 March 1950 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska. She married --?-- WILSON [note 2].
3. Lafayette B. BAILEY was born 3 July 1874 and died 22 November 1958 in Fremont, Dodge Co., Nebraska.
4. Clara Belle BAILEY.
5. Henry Morrel BAILEY was born 6 January 1881 in Tecumsah, Nebraska, and died 1 June 1933. He married Mary Catherine BARTLY on 4 July 1984. He was born on 4 September 1882 in Cumberland Gap, Claiborne Co., Tennessee, and died in October 1958.
6. Fred Vivian BAILEY was born 16 October 1883 in Tecumsah, Johnson Co., Nebraska, and died on 3 August 1956. He married Hattie --?--
7. Ralph BAILEY was born on 22 January 1887 in Tecumsah,
Johnson,
Nebraska, and died on 25 January 1973 in Twenty-nine Palms, California.
He married Jessie
Mae MAHRER on 10 March 1910. She was born 7 March 1891 in
Powhattan,
Kansas.
