A History of the John Cears/Kear family
Eleanor KEAR. daughter of John Cears Kear and Mary Ann REED, was born in Ann Arundel County, Maryland on 20 June 1800 [note 1]. She died 7 November 1847 in Van Wert County, Ohio, and may be buried in the "Pring or Pence Cemetery" in Willshire Township, Van Wert County, Ohio, Section 7, T35, R1E near the 27 Mile Creek [note 2]. Eleanor married John PRING on 20 August 1818 in Licking County, Ohio [note 3]. John was born in 1797 in Virginia, and died on 8 May 1860 (See Bible note). He may be buried in the Pring/Pence Cemetery.
Eleanor's sister, Mary Ann Kear, married Richard PRING, brother of John Pring.
Eleanor and John Pring had eight children:

Licking County,
Ohio, died 14 October 1832.
6. Thomas R. PRING, born 25 January
1835, Champaign
County, Ohio, died 11 March 1906, Wayne County, Iowa [note
5], and is buried in the Franklin
Cemetery. He married Sarah TRUMBO.
7. Daniel B. PRING, born 3 June 1838,
died 3
May
1864, Polk Co, Iowa,. [note
6], and is buried in the Franklin Cemetery. He
married Francis C. BALL, 26 April 1860, Polk County, Iowa.
8. Richard L. PRING, born 14 August 1844.
