Peter Bozeman born in the 1750s was captured at the Fall of Charleston in 1779 and managed to escape and continued to serve in the South Carolina Militia being paid 4 pounds in 1785.
He married Sarah Brown in 1786 and had 3 daughters by 1790 and a son Meade born in 1790.
The S C Archives have documents where Peter signed a Deed of Gift to Meade's two sons, calling one Peter Jr and the other Jefse.
