There was a Lewis Bozeman, from the Anderson District, of which I believe Abbeville was apart of in early times.
This Lewis Bozeman Purchased land in Union County, Mississippi, signature Date on Land Patent Report on two differnt Properties of 160 acres each 04/09/1842.
There wasa also, a Dan T Bozeman from the same place who bought 160 acres next two Lewis in Union Co. MS 04/09/1842

Told by Will Tom Smith, husband of Rachel Bozeman, as told to him by
Bennett Bozeman:
"There use to be an old log home that set back off the old cemetery next
to the woods. One day the old man became ill and later died. he was
taken from his home on the back of an old mule and buried where the old
Bozeman cemetery is now located. This was the beginning of the Bozeman
Cemetery. The old man had to have been Lewis Bozeman when he died."

Willie I Bozeman was born to William E. Bozeman and Martha Ann Wheeler.
For whatever reason when they ingraved my great granddaddy's marker they
spelled it, (Wildiean D. Bozeman) Have checked with some folks in the
Andalusia
area over the last couple of years that were aware of the confusion on
the marker but no history as to why. He is buried at Bozeman Cemetery
and Martha Ann
requested to be buried and Good Hope Primitive Baptist Cemetery because
she attended the church there at Good Hope.
