Descendants of Viola B. Cumby

Generation No. 1, Lot 8.3

1. VIOLA B.3 CUMBY (EUSTACE C.2, WILLIAM1)1,2 was born 02 January 1888 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, and died 20 July 1889 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.

Notes for VIOLA B. CUMBY:

NOTE: On former listings Sam Harter CUMBY and his wife are shown to be buried on this lot (Lot No. 4). The stones for their graves are distinctly in Lot No. 8, which is also a William M. CUMBY lot, just north of the Thompson Lot, which lies between the two CUMBY Lots. As Mrs. Kate THOMPSON TIPPETT was a CUMBY, I feel Lots No. 4, No. 5 (the Thompson lot), and No. 8 were all possibly the William CUMBY lot; at least, originally. In additon, just to the south of these grave is the grave of an infant CUMBY, which is listed on Lot No. 49, the PROCK lot. One list shows the Sarah CUMBY PROCK lot to have no burials; the other list shows this child. The map indicates the PROCK lot comes up behind the fence of Lot No. 6 a short distance, which is just where this grave is located. The infant's grave will be listed later on Lot No. 49, but it should be noted that it appears to be near the other CUMBY burials.

Previous information from Mrs. Coye Hawpe, prepared in Jun 1974.
