JW wrote that the "Yaught Winfred" was at EMW on April 5, 1900 and the "Yaught Winifred" left on May 4, 1900, I am assuming he is referring to the same boat and this boat was the Yacht WINNIFRED.  JW also wrote the boat was " U.S." indicating owned by the US Government, Ways Packet Boat Directory gives the name of an individual owner.  This boat was destroyed during a flood in March 1907 near Brownsville, PA.
