The SPRAGUE was in Pittsburgh during the Fall of 1902 for major alterations.  JW played a small role in that he "worked out" a jackstaff for her, a flagpole.

Ways Towboat Directory writes that the JOSEPH B. WILLIAMS was the "daddy of 'em all in the coal towing business until the SPRAGUE was built."   The photo above shows these two boats together, with a close up of the SPRAGUE on the right, visit the page of the JOSEPH B.
