JW mentions the LEE H.BROOKS only twice in his journal, both mentions are very brief.  The first mention is December 3, 1908 when she is included in a list of boats that were docked during that month. This boats next mention is on June 14, 1912 when she is docked at the Elizabeth Marine Ways. These brief mentions probably indicate that he did not personally work on this boat while she was at the Elizabeth Marine Ways.

LEE H. BROOKS photo from collection of William Fels showing this boat as a Packet running between Elizabeth, PA and Pittsburgh

Of interest is that this boat was originally a Packet Boat built in 1890. The LEE H.BROOKS was owned by William Weigel from 1897 to 1900 running between Pittsburgh and Elizabeth, PA.  This time period coincides with the Weigel family involvement in opening the Elizabeth Marine Ways and I have to assume this boat was at these Marine Ways during this time period.
