writes on July 2, 1898 that he is working on a new
Pump Boat to replace the DELUGE. This photo is dated January 1896
and shows the DELUGE pumping out the Packet J. G. BLAINE. In the
background is the Packet GERMANIA and to the left of the DELUGE is the
SLACKWATER.
