Vernon, died Friday, Feb. 18 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born in Rockcastle County on Nov. 17, 1934 the son of Alva and Mahala Hickey Falin. He was a retired supervisor for Hanson Aggregates (KY Stone Co.) having served for 43 years and was a member of the Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsy Renner Falin; six children, Debra Fisher (Lyman), Darrell Falin (Sheila), Margaret Bullen, and Ellen Miller (Buddy Gene), all of Mt. Vernon, Lisa Morris (Phillip) of Bloomfield, and Charlie Falin of London; two brothers, Charlie Falin of Corbin and Archie Lee Falin of Lexington; and two sisters, Edyth Allen of Covington and Darla Miller of Mt. Vernon. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Eugene, and Albert Falin; and a sister, Thelma Thomason. |
