She was born on April 23, 1924 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Milt and Lillie Mink McFerron. She was a housewife, enjoyed quilting, gardening, the company of her family, and was a member of the First Church of Christ. Survivors are: two sons; Robert Evans of Rt.#1 Mt.Vernon, and Gerald Evans and wife Anna of Brodhead. Six daughters; Hazel Burton and husband Carl of Gum Sulfur, Glenna Renner and husband Junnie of Rt.#1 Mt.Vernon, Bernice Marler and husband Dennis of Rt.#1 Mt.Vernon, Barbara Graves of Rt.#1 Mt.Vernon, Verla Miller and husband Harold of Rt.#1 Mt.Vernon, and Lela Renner and husband Freddie of Level Green. One brother; Ralph McFerron of Mt.Vernon. Two sisters; Mrs. Alma Evans of Ottawa, and Mrs. Lavern Johnson of Minnesota. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by: one son; Gene Evans, by one infant daughter and one infant son, by one grandson; Frankie Marler, by five infant grandchildren, by one daughter-in-law; Martha Evans, and by one brother; Russell McFerron. |
