Mrs. Martha Marie Evans, age 52 of Rt. 1 Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, Jan. 22 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Rockcastle County on Oct. 19, 1951 the daughter of Ed and Evie Sweeney Barron. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Evans; one son, Dale Evans of Mt. Vernon; one daughter Vickie Teague (Mark) of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Russell Barron and Gary Barron, both of Mt. Vernon, and Carl Barron of Brodhead; three sisters, Mary Randolph of Somerset, Bertie McFerron of Crab Orchard, and Lorene Barron of Science Hill; and seven grandchildren, Heather, Holly, and Samantha Teague, and Justin, Daniel, Stacey, and Briana Evans.
