Owens Funeral Chapel Interment: Saylor Cemetery Mr. Joe Everett Ellison, 72, of Copper Creek, Ky. passed away, Monday May 24, 2004 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1932 in Corbin, Ky. a son of the late Henry Robert and Ollie Myrtle Cupp Ellison. He was a member of the Protestant faith. He was a 20year retired Master Plumber and prior to retiring had been employed with A&M Plumbing in Phoenix, Arizona. A member of the UA Local 469 Plumber's Union. He participated in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. Those left to mourn his passing include his two children-a son- Joseph Lee Ellison and wife Paula of Tempe, Arizona and a daughter-Cynthia Gay Brooks and husband Dan of Fayetteville, GA. Five grandchildren-Jennifer, Danielle, Jaylin, and Cody Brooks and Shea Ellison. Four brothers-Herman Ellison and wife Shirley of New Paris, OH; Bobby Ellison of Parkers Lake, Ky.; Darrell Ellison and wife Wanda of Brodhead, Ky; and Glen Ellison and wife Marsha of Copper Creek, Ky. Ten sisters- Ruby Brock and husband Dallas of Copper Creek, Ky; Saundra Gisler of Mt. Vernon, Ky,; Reba Short and husband Roy of Stanford, Ky.; Hester Leece and husband G.D. of Copper Creek, Ky.; Opal Leece and Richard of Mesa, Arizona; Lelia Durham of Richmond, Ind.; Estline Noe and husband Ray of Crab Orchard, Ky; Zella Lawson and husband Gordon of Middletown, OH; Verlyan Ramsey and husband Kenneth of Winchester, Ky; Jean Fuson and husband Richard of Middletown, OH; And a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-Henry Ellison, Jr. and two sisters-Ellsie Ellison and infant Maggie Ellison. |
