Elder, age 77 of Rt. 1 Brodhead, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002 at his home. He was born in Rockcastle County the son of Casper Steven and Florence Cottrell Elder. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Geneva Stevens Elder; one daughter, Arlena (Bennie) Poynter of Lexington; one sister, Sylvia Braley of Ohio; and two grandchildren, Machael Lee Poynter and Stephen Edward Poynter, both of Lexington. Also surviving are one nephew and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Florence Elder. Funeral arrangements are by the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home. |
