Mr. Oliver "Skinner" Durham, age 73 of Copper Creek Rd. in Crab Orchard,
died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at his home. He was born in Rockcastle County
on Feb. 28, 1930 the son of S. V. and Gemia Abigail Baker Durham. He was
a retired truck driver for Preston Trucking Company having served for 40
years. He was a lifetime member of the Teamsters #135 and was a member
of the Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed making wood crafts.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sue Johnson Durham; two
daughters, Doris VanSickle (Charles) of North Vernon, IN, and Mary Jane
Lines (Gary) of Frankfort, KY; one stepdaughter, Ellen Sue Smith of
Rushville, IN; two brothers, Jackson Durham of Richmond, IN, and Jimmy
Wayne Durham of Liberty, IN; and seven sisters, Geneva Pitcher of
Connersville, IN, Edna Turner of New Richmond, OH, Hazel Marie Wright of
Amelia, OH, Verla Scott, Gladys McVay, and Minnie Croley, all of
Richmond, IN, and Betty Jean Riley of Centerville, IN. Also surviving
are 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 3 step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Ruth Ann Robinson and Dennis
Michael Durham; and one brother, Harold Durham.
