| Paul E. Downing (December 18, 1934 - August 15, 2006) Paul Eugene Downing, 71, of Masters Court, Richmond, died on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond, KY. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Otis and Catherine Rose Downing. He was a U. S. Army veteran, a retired Electrician for Square D, Inc. and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Owens Downing of Richmond; one daughter, Tammy Ellen (Virgil) Griffith of Sadieville, KY; two sons, Paul (Lou) Downing, Jr. of Lexington, and Timothy Downing of Richmond; one brother, Phillip Downing of Paris, KY; one sister, JoAnn Downing of Lexington; two grandchildren, Josh and Amanda Griffith and his beloved puppy, “Dude”. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, with Bro. Gordon Sowers officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Jessamine County. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell. |
